Scrum a little, achieve a lot.
Scrumbo exists for one reason: the best software is built with customers, not just for them. So we made the simplest possible place where both sides of a project can meet, agree and get things done — safely.
Born in a software house, shaped by real projects
Scrumbo grew out of the daily work at Robota Softwarehouse, a Dutch software company. We kept seeing the same problem: project tools were either too heavy for customers to bother with, or so light that agreements got lost in email threads and phone calls.
So we built our own middle ground — a storyboard simple enough that customers genuinely use it, and structured enough that nothing falls through the cracks. It has been running our own customer projects ever since, and every feature in Scrumbo earned its place there first.
No feature lands in Scrumbo because it looks good in a demo. It lands because a real project needed it.
Three ideas we won't compromise on
Together beats top-down
A project goes wrong the moment the customer becomes an outsider to it. In Scrumbo the customer sits at the same table: same board, same stories, same conversation. Priorities are agreed, not announced.
Simple is a feature
Every field, button and screen has to justify itself. A tool only keeps a project honest if everyone actually uses it — and people only use what they understand at first sight.
Safety is not an upsell
Your project data is your business. Every account gets the full safety toolkit — encryption, two-factor authentication, fine-grained access — because trust shouldn't come in tiers.
How we keep your work safe
"Secure" is easy to claim, so here is what it concretely means at Scrumbo. Working openly with your customer only works when both of you can trust where the work lives.
And if you ever want to leave: export everything to Excel and go. A tool should earn your stay, not lock the door.
- Encrypted in transit — every connection runs over HTTPS.
- Access per project, per person — viewer, commenter or editor; nobody sees more than they should.
- Two-factor authentication — standard TOTP, on every account.
- End-to-end encrypted Secure send — passwords and files are encrypted in your browser and destroyed after reading; our servers can't read them.
- Hosted in Europe — run and maintained by the people who build it.
- Deleted means deleted — closed accounts and expired data are actually purged, not archived forever.
A small team that answers its own support email
Scrumbo is made by Robota Softwarehouse BV in the Netherlands. We use Scrumbo every day with our own customers, so when something bothers you, it probably bothers us too — and it gets fixed.
